- Who am I paying?
- Software packages and the business plan are sold by the Make Them Pay team: they are legal information, not legal advice; you drive every choice. Lawyer services are sold by Mithril Law — Jonathan Kleiman, licensed Ontario lawyer — under a written retainer.
- When is my card charged?
- Software: at purchase, and you can read the whole package first. Lawyer services: your card is authorized at order and charged when the work is delivered. The business plan renews monthly; cancel any time.
- What can I get back if I win?
- The court can order the loser to pay your court fees, up to $200 of what you paid to prepare the claim (rule 19.01(4)), reasonable service costs, and representation costs up to 15% of the claim (Courts of Justice Act s. 29).
- Refunds?
- Software: a full refund if the download fails. Lawyer services: nothing is charged until delivery; a written retainer sets the scope.
- Can I start free and add a lawyer later?
- Yes. Every free tool and every package has the lawyer options beside it. Never a wall.
